Flatbreads are a reminder of the origins of baking. Once humans decided to pour flour batter onto hot coals there was no turning back – this was the first time we experienced the distinct smell of baked bread! During this baking workshop, we’ll make and bake a range of different cultural, mouthwatering flatbreads including Pide (Turkish style pizza); Pitta bread (a 4,000 year old Middle Eastern staple); Ka ak (a popular Lebanese purse bread traditionally smothered in dips and local cheese) as well as learning how to make your own, sumptuous homemade humous to accompany your breads.
Simply finish with a little meze style eating and feast on these middle eastern delights!
